[True to his word, Yuan will enter the tea shop a short while later. Honestly, on the one hand he's glad Kratos returned to Luceti. His companion's one of the few people, if not the only one aside from himself, who can keep Mithos under control. Plus, despite their many conflicts, he still considers Kratos his one true friend- the only one who truly knows what Yuan's been through.

Of course, on the other hand, he knows he's not supposed to be glad. Kratos doesn't belong here and neither does he. No one does. Add the man's current level of distrust towards Yuan and it's just enough to make him a bit reluctant towards this reunion.

None of this will be spoken, or even shown too much on his face. When he enters the shop, he'll meet Kratos' gaze with a determined expression.]

[He strides over to Kratos' table, though he doesn't invite himself to sit down just yet.]

... Have you been informed of the situation yet?

Then, you're aware of differing timelines. What is the last thing you remember before arriving here?

Your attempt to harm Lloyd. I... also remember taking that attack in his place.

[Yuan can't stop himself from frowning in dismay. Over four-thousand years' worth of moments, and that is the one they take Kratos from? This is definitely going to complicate things.]

[At this point, Yuan is going to take a seat. He's sure this will be a long, tiring conversation. Hell, he doesn't even know where to start.]

During that incident outside the dwarf's house, Yggdrasill discovered my true identity. He let me live, but I had no choice but to disband the Renegades until further notice. My only chance to return the worlds to normal and have the Great Seed germinate was to cooperate with Lloyd and his friends. ... You did the same thing.

What of the Eternal Sword?

You released the seal on Origin voluntarily. ... I gave you some of my own mana in return before you could... [He trails off, then shakes his head.] Anyway, Lloyd and his friends succeeded in making a pact with Origin. A dwarf who lives in Sylvarant crafted the Eternal Ring and the sword was Lloyd's to use.

Then the sword landed in Lloyd's hands... good.

...you gave me some of your mana, Yuan? Surely you knew that you, too, could have...

I was perfectly willing to take that gamble.

[At that point, it wasn't like Yuan had much else to lose. If he were to have died, at least his conscience would've been a bit cleaner than if he hadn't attempted to save Kratos at all.]

[Yuan is perfectly willing to take Kratos's mind off such thoughts again, because there's plenty more mindboggling information where that came from.]

Mithos destroyed the Tower of Salvation and attempted to have Derris-Kharlan leave the planet's orbit, taking the Great Seed with it. Lloyd and his friends chased after him with the power of the Eternal Sword and cornered him in Vinheim. Mithos refused to give up on his ideals, so they had no choice but to... end his life.

So, he fell at their hands...

[Yuan still doesn't truly believe it was up to them to handle that burden. It should've fallen unto Kratos and himself to finish Mithos off.]

And after that...?

Lloyd used the power of the Eternal Sword to reunite the two worlds and germinate the Great Seed. A new World Tree was born, as was a new guardian spirit to accompany it.

So everything... was a success.

In a way. Apparently, Ratatosk will be giving us a bit of trouble two years from then, but I've been told that all works itself out as well.

[Yuan is, of course, leaving out the fact that Kratos isn't there to witness the Ratatosk ordeal himself, because he departed with Derris-Kharlan. He knows that if Kratos were to hear about that, he'll just distance himself, which is the last thing Yuan needs right now. It's not so much lying as holding back information, really.]

Three years worth of troublesome incidents in this place. You were here before, though it seems you've lost your memories of that time.
